Database Administrator (LA)

LOCATION: the Rubicon Project HQ in West Los Angeles

Responsibilities

• Effectively design, implement and manage in house databases and data warehouses
• Effectively & efficiently provide support in determining correct database data structure

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree
• 3+ years professional experience in database design and administration required
• 3+ years MySQL ( stored procedures / clustering / load balancing / replication )
• 3+ years Linux flavors (Redhat / BSD / CentOS / Ubuntu / Debian)
• Previous large scale system experience required (including billions of records )
• Ability to establish and monitor processes pertaining to databases
• Must have exceptional analytical and problem solving skills
• High attention to detail with focus on quality, accuracy and completeness of work

Skills/Personal Characteristics:

• C / C++ / PERL / Python / CSS / XML
• Experience with AJAX
• Open source technologies
• Apache
• Online advertising experience
• Scalability / Redundancy / High volume environments
• System administration skills
• Bugzilla / Trac
• Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills
• Experienced team player with strong team skills
